Counting Out Pills is like Making a Meal Plan

Every Saturday morning I count out the week's pills into little 7 day pill containers, for me, my husband and my mother. That way I can count to be sure we all take our medication, and I can check to be sure Mom is taking hers.

Making out a meal plan isn't any different. It takes a little thought, very little time, and can prevent problems. I never have to ask myself if I've taken my calcium, I can just look at the container. I have have to wonder what I'm having for dinner, I can just look at my planner.

There are pill containers out there for just about any need: twice a day, 4 times a day, big pills, little pills. We all have different ways to think of planning meals, but there is a way out there for all of us to find what works best, as long as we do it.

Why are pill planners so easy to accept, but meal planners aren't?
