Slowly Seeing A Difference
Monday, May 16, 2016
I joined this site the last week of April, but I must admit that I did not fully "start" until May 1, 2016. I have been watching what I eat and exercising more. I started walking and doing reps on the rowing machine. My 20yr old son talked me into doing pull-ups ( let's just say that I hung on the bar like a sloth taking a daily nap) I could not pull up my 193lb body to save my life! I just jumped down and gave up almost in tears. My son encouraged me and let me know that it was okay--he even apologized for asking me to try in the first place. I told him no worries--it's a new goal for me. Every day I would try and I would get maybe an half of a pull up then eventually two! Well, I have lost about 5 pounds and on yesterday I was able to do five whole pull ups! I was so happy with my progress!! My son literally picked my 188 pound body up and began to spin me around. All that being said...it was a proud moment. I am doing well for the first two weeks and I am on my third week of the rest of my life. I am happy to see that hard work truly does pay off. Slowly but surely I will reach my goal of being 160 pounds!! Thanks SparkPeople for allowing me to share my journey!
