Summing up my 105 days

Friday, May 06, 2016

As of May 1st, my 105 days have ended.

My plan was:
1.) Job-search
2.) Prepare to move (aka declutter)
3.) Move, move, move (aka exercise and walk)
4.) Eat healthy (water and freggies)
5.) Enjoy life

1.) Job-search
No new job in sight, but a chance to polish up my knowledge in area of knowledge. I will try that path and continue my job-search. My current job ends in a view weeks. I'm not sure, how to handle the upcoming financial situation, but I will find a way.

2.) Prepare to move (aka declutter)
This is an ongoing project. A lot is done, a lot has to be done. Major area of decluttering: unbelievably high piles of paper, that I can not throw out without checking.

3.) Move, move, move (aka exercise and walk)
Yes, this one went well. I was even able to walk up to 75 minutes! That was impossible a while ago.

4.) Eat healthy (water and freggies)
Water is ok, freggies are still not enough.

5.) Enjoy life
I take care of myself and try to get in a time of nature-time every day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

All in all: Not all goals met, but even the tiniest progress is a progress!

Two weeks ago two family members were admitted to the hospital in different towns. One is my son, the other his father. Son is more or less ok, yet will stay there for several weeks. His father is in rather a serious condition. He has severe problems with his heart, his lungs and his kidneys.
Additionally both my parents need some extra care. There was a phase when my father didn't want to eat anymore - and my mom has several problems, that influence her ability to move and to get in the right amount of nutrients. Luckily I partnered up with my brother, so we share responsibilities.

So I've spent these past two weeks with visiting hospitals, parents and hanging on the phone trying to get information and organize support.

And in the meantime I try to organize that learning phase and my finances, to prepare for the next six, seven months.

My joy is my sweet cat, soft, kind and purring. emoticon
