The word DIET.... I hate it! I try my best not to even use it anymore if any other word will fit. I guess I could borrow a page from Zig Ziglar and call it a live-it. I much prefer new eating plan. It is new. I have revamped our whole style of eating. Husband-approved so far. I do plan to make sure we get our nutrients. I also aim for taste and eye appeal. So when someone asks how I am losing weight and I tell them, you know what I usually here? "I've been cooking this way my whole life. I don't think I can change." or my personal favorite from a lady with diabetes, "That's what you have to do,but there's some things that go with certain foods and I don"t won't to limit or do without them". So I am polite and keep doing my thing because I FEEL BETTER. No, I havn't lost a huge amount of weight. But I am retraining my taste buds to like real food.I am definitely not the sweet and cola and sweet tea junkie I used to be. I will be 64 in a few days.Could have used the same excuses. Health was more important. I have a 1 year old great grandson I would like to watch grow.Still have 3 grandkids in school. How about you?Are you letting excuses stand between you and a healthier you? What or who keeps you going towards the goal? Catch you later.
