11 Weeks - Peroneal Tendon Surgery Recovery

Tuesday, May 03, 2016

4 more weeks have gone by. I have been doing well in physical therapy. Yesterday, I actually walked in a shoe on my left foot at PT. It felt weird but no pain. I am almost completely without nerve pain now. It's only a swath above my scar on the top of my foot that's sensitive now.

I am able to walk in my boot most places now. Uneven surfaces are still difficult. The ankle area is still stiff and weak, so walking in the yard, or on gravel is still not fun.

The main area of contention is not my foot at all, but my back. My back hurts 24/7 and the back spasms are insane. PT says its because my feet are uneven. I have a thing on my other foot to make me more even but it's not the same. I'm ready for that to be gone.

I go back to the doctor next Monday for him to determine whether or not I continue in the boot or get out of it. I figure I will still be continuing PT I'm sure.

I'm back riding my recumbent bike pretty regularly. I have not been eating as well as I should be. Gotta get back on the wagon with my good eating. Still glad I did it. It's made a huge difference.

sounds like the overall trajectory is a good one--glad to hear it! hope the back issue resolves quickly when the boot comes off!
