Today I thought I'd share a bit about my herbal infusions. I've been doing these for nearly 2 years and credit them with reducing my chronic sinus problems. So, every morning, one of the first things I do is get myself a jar of dandelion and nettle herbal infusion going. I actually refer to it as swamp juice. It doesn't taste good - I'm not going to lie. But I drink it every day, with nothing added to it.
The difference between an herbal tea and this herbal infusion I'm drinking is really just the amount of herb used and the amount of time it's allowed to sit around. I measure out 1/2 an ounce of dandelion leaves and 1/2 an ounce of nettle leaves each day. Pour them into a quart jar and fill it with boiling water. Then I let it sit around for 5 or 6 hours before I strain it and drink it. Here are a few snaps.
