Back to the drawing board

For a number of months I religiously tracked every morsel that entered my mouth. Then it turned into a tedious chore, and I took a break from it - which has now lasted even more months. And since I'm not doing a great job of sticking to plan, today I decided to go back to religious tracking. It's harder to pretend I'm not veering badly off track when the numbers are staring right at me!

It's also not helping - or maybe it is? That there's a cartoon of a woman in a purple bikini squeezing her belly fat right on this web page as I type. She looks the way I feel these days!

Anyway, back to the trenches! It's time to get properly back on track. I've got a few extra pounds, how many I have no idea because I'm afraid to step on the scale. But my blood pressure is also creeping up so it's time to get serious again.

I know how you feel about tracking. When I finally decide to start tracking the way I track my steps, I know it will make a huge difference. You can do it! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sorry to hear that you're feeling pressure! It is so hard to figure out the best approach, isn't it? And that woman in the purple bikini does NOT help, don't you think? Constant reminders are so annoying!

I hope you feel more peaceful about this very soon!

Yea writing down everything you eat and drink can be a tedious job. For me I found that it just became part of my everyday habit when I. It helped me to make wiser food choices during mealtime. It's helped lose weight & stay healthy. Best of luck!

I have a love/hate relationship with tracking as well. I did weight watchers and absolutely loved it because I, too, am a oerson that needs it right in front of me. I wanting ro get back to tracking (calories instead of points this time) for free!
