April and I are not friends...

March was amazing; April not so much.

First get the numbers out of the way.

Weight: 168.3 (up 1.6 for the month)
BF: 36.6 (up .5)
BW: 46.2 (down .3)
BMI: 31.7 (up .5)
BONE: 6.5 (same as always)

My calorie differential was absolute crap this month. I did not meet my points goal for the month. The last 3 days of the month, when it was obvious that there was no mathematical chance of me making my goal? Well, let's just say mama binge-ate. A LOT.

Here is where it gets weird, though. I don't care.

That's right. I don't care that I gained weight this month.

On the one hand, it is a bad train to get on to. One month of gain is OK, continuous months would be a trend in the wrong direction.

I am feeling very, very free though. This month I started working again. I also had a health scare with my chest that landed me in the ER.

Despite what the scale says, I managed several successes within the last few weeks. A major NSV is that I have increased my treadmill running speed quite a bit. I did a full hour at 4.0+. While that may not sound like much to many people, I am very short and have always been a ridiculously slow runner. I am tantalizingly close to getting in under 15' miles. My last run had an average of 15 min and 11 seconds, including my warm-ups and cool-down.

The biggest one is that I am now a size 10.

Don't ask me how. My weight went up slightly. My measurements are unchanged from April 1st. However, I walked in to Ross' yesterday and tried on (then purchased...) several size 10 dresses and a pair of pants. The pants are still a wee bit tight, but they easily buttoned up. The dresses fit perfectly; I wore one last night to a birthday party.

Today, I took my daughter shopping and tried on a size 10 in the dressing room of Old Navy. It fit. I didn't buy it because I splurged so bad yesterday, but I wanted to make sure yesterday wasn't some kind of mind-trick.

I am keeping my goals the same for May. I just need to refocus, I think.

Size 10 is awesome! Not beating yourself up over last month is also awesome! And extra treadmill accomplishments are not easily won! May will be your month to get back to losing weight and adding to those NSV!

I think you have a great attitude! No need to fret about the past. Focus forward and keep trucking on the journey.

I think I might manage a size 10 when I am at goal weight! (I am tall, so I would be pretty thin as a 10). So that is AWESOME! And I can only hope to run a sustained 4+ mph when I try out our new treadmill tonight.

    April and I were frenemies.

Some perspective; just try to remember how long it took to put it on....
