I came in about 1 minute faster than my goal time. AND I was less than 2 minutes behind my granddaughter. It was a great run!
I did a 4:1 run/walk and only a couple of times I had to cut the run time short. I had been practicing my pace on the treadmill while watching a video of a runner (the treadmiller.com) and I used my granddaughter as my pacer.
Now, we start training for a 5k scheduled on May 21st, and then a 6.55 mile trail run that has a lot of hills. I am hoping to come in that one about the same time, with maybe a minute or two extra because of the hills.
I weighed myself this morning and recorded it here on this site and saw that I lost only 1 pound since January. I have 3 pounds to lose before our anniversary, May 16. I think I can do it if I get serious about eating only whole natural foods (keeping food as close to its natural state as possible).
