Day 3?

I'm still not used to writing every day. And sometimes recording everything I eat is monotonous. Sometimes I feel it is such a waste of time. Don't know if it really helps to keep me accountable. I do know that I have been tempted many times to grab a candy bar and resisted. I guess that's a start. I am also more aware that I need to eat breakfast every morning. That is something I'm not used to.

    I don't enjoy tracking, but the benefits are so substantial that I make myself do it anyway. I find it much easier and faster since SP added the "recent" category to the food tracker because I eat many of the same foods week to week. Anyhow, my point is that it's about much more than just calories, it's about nutrition and learning how to properly care for your body.

    It does take a while to get used to writing it all down. I fought with that for most of my first few weeks. It felt like I was being taken to task any time I even thought about eating something like a candy bar or an extra large piece of cake.

    Slowly, the mindset changed from shame to pride. I don't have to write this down cause I didn't eat it! And the numbers on the scale are showing it's working.

    In the meantime, just take it one day at a time until you find what works for you. You absolutely have a handle on this! emoticon

    Tracking is a definite plus for me. I wasn't as diligent with it in the beginning and soon noticed that I consume almost twice the calories without tracking.

    Recording definitely makes me stop and think. But it is boring. I agree with you. And the website sometimes takes so long to do things, it just adds to the boredom.
