OK I gave up

Sunday, April 17, 2016

I had gastric sleeve surgery on April 11th.

How anyone could say that I didn't need it is beyond me.

This will be very difficult but obtainable. I'm sore and am experiencing new feelings. I guess this is what being full feels like? I'm still bloated too. Will be glad when all the gas has escaped.

Good luck! I know a couple of people who have had success with gastric sleeve surgery but it is still a challenge afterwards. By the way, love your profile pic! :)

Hi - I just had VSG on March 16th. Thinking back to when I was six days out, I can understand the feelings you are going through. The surgery for me was really difficult and painful, but I recovered quickly. It is a drastic decision to do it, but I think you know what decision you needed or wanted to make for yourself. Since I am almost 5 weeks out, I have lost almost 30 pounds, I have more energy than I have had in almost 10 years, I can run up stairs without getting winded, and I feel pretty, I feel positive about everything in my future. I am still learning how to eat with this new stomach, but it's getting easier everyday. There is a spark team called Gastric Sleevers. It's really supportive if you haven't found it yet. Best wishes on your new journey! You are in good company.
