Determined to make the 2nd half of my life healty

So I have been a wimp as far as exercise is concerned since junior high. I have been overweight or obese most of my life. I am 48 years old and I am determined that I will either work on being healthy or will actually be healthy for the 2nd half of my life.
This is my 95 year old paternal - grandmother (and my son). She is strong and mentally sharp and at present worried about diabetes and having to give up bread. My comment is you are 95 years old if you want to eat bread, eat bread.
This is my 73 year old mother in Boro Boro this past week. She and my step dad travel extensively. I want to be like her when I get to be her age.
This is me at age 48 and my son at age 12 about to do our first 5k.
I have more family members that died too early, but I have a healthy strong example on both sides. I am determined that I will be healthier in the 2nd half of my life and hopefully I will be like my Grandmother - still strong and going at 95.
