I will never go back again!

Sunday, April 10, 2016

Wow, been quite a few months since I last logged in with SP.
Where have I been? Well, I was considering getting weight loss surgery back in July 2015, after trying and failing at multiple diets and healthy eating programmes. I actually ballooned to 20stone (280lbs) which is the largest I've ever been, and at the age of only 22 I knew there were some serious conversations with myself to be had.

Luckily I stumbled upon a weight loss clinic in London offering an alternative to surgery. You go on a doctor supervised diet and get fat melting and skin toning treatments to help you lose the weight quicker and not get saggy skin. I took the chance and to date have lost 3 stone (i started in September 2015).

Right now I'm still at 3 stone loss but feel like I really cant go on with the diet. I'm hating the food they give me and I'm missing things like rice and bananas (not included in the diet). I feel like I cant socialise and If I do eat things that are off the diet guide lines the feeling of guilt is unreal! to the point where I start skipping meals just because I ate a banana!!

So now I'm back to SP and more determined than ever before. I found out that I have a ridiculously low metabolism, and a BMR of 1,800kcal which should be a bit higher considering my weight at the time (test was taken when I was 20 stone).

I've also decided to go Vegan recently. After watching and reading up on the meat egg and dairy industry it has put me off animal products for life!

To help me in acchieving my goals via SP I've started a new sparkTeam for singers!! It's called Spark Singers and is open to all of those who love to sing, wether you're a pro or a beginner!

Wishing you good luck with the vegan thing. It should surely help you lose weight, as well as have a more humane approach to animals, I have a huge meat and cheese makeup, and would find it almost impossible. However, I think I could handle vegetarian. Best to you, Glenn
