It is officially Spring 2016 and I am looking forward to seeing my life have new blossoms. I have made a big decision to no longer be a substitute preschool teacher. Beginning in May I will be really retired. Once I made the decision this week and wrote my resignation letter I began to think about many of the activities I started when I first retired from my University job. I felt good that I would be able to draw, work on the novel I had started last year and spend time with my husband who is fully retired. The decision was a good one.
Many of the activities I am looking forward to doing are not energetic nor do they involve exercise. I will have to take a real serious look at adjusting my nutrition and exercise once I longer run, jump, play and teach preschoolers nor have a schedule for meals.
I am looking forward to the newness of freedom from a schedule of work and having the time to do things that will bring me new satisfaction.
