Two more pounds - finally!

Friday, April 08, 2016

Pleased to have dropped two pounds after several weeks of nothing. Interesting that now I'm getting past a sad and difficult few weeks, I can feel that my system has 'woken up' in some way which may explain the loss. Whatever it is, it's definitely a good thing.
The other contributing factor may be that I've recently started subscribing to a weekly organic vegetable box and am now eating meat only rarely although I still eat a lot of fish fresh from the sea. I have always cooked from fresh but all these organic vegetables are inspiring me to concoct new and - for me - interesting veggie meals. I love vegetables and every day is a challenge to deal with whatever is in my box.

Good for you. I would have a hard time with just veggies as I love meat so much. But if it works for you awesome. I do like my veggies.

emoticon Sounds great Sonia!! Sorry last few weeks were sad for you though. Sometimes the body and mind need a break from the regular routine, as I said on your page also. It does for me, I know that. Keep going! As we grow older the experts also say, we should keep a few extra pounds on us, so that if we fall terribly ill, we have some pounds to lose. So I don't plan to get down to my lowest range at all. As long as I have healthy ranges in my blood tests and feel good, I will keep an extra 15-20 pounds on me. So don't be too hard on yourself and that is the important thing most of all is doing what you are eating healthy! emoticon emoticon

Marvellous Sonia, a big veggie fan myself too although I'd not go to subscribing for deliveries.
With all the fish I eat I should sprout webbed feet and gills LOL although lately I've been having more chicken.
Glad you're pepping up a little, it'll take time emoticon

Way to go!!! Sonia, I knew you could do it and that is great about the veggies!! I love them and cannot wait to get my gardens going again. Sorry you are not bouncing back from your hard week. With time, it will get easier. So fabulous though about the 2 pounds. Patience, that is what it takes and just keeping up with it. I have found that out while being on here this last 8 weeks. And fresh fish, so lucky. And it's good for you!!! Keep pushing along. You got this!!!
