Hello again!

I'm still here! Logging my food, exercise, etc. I have been working a LOT since December, teaching yoga and barre classes, more than 15 most weeks at 5 different locations. A yoga studio opened in my hometown, just down the street from my house so I have been teaching a lot of classes there, too. Walking to work is the best thing ever!!

On the heels of all of this, I have been feeling progressively tired, like get up in the morning and fall asleep on the couch putting on my shoes tired. I thought it was just being old and cranky but after some bloodwork it seems I am anemic. Perimenopause and heavy periods for the past few years have apparently zapped my system, so I have been taking a liquid iron and B vitamin supplement for the past few weeks and am beginning to feel better.

I am still working on getting a regular personal yoga practice together. Tuesday and Thursday mornings we have been doing a teacher's class at 5:30 AM at the studio, which has been great for me although I hate getting up that early!! Yoga between 5 and 6 AM is very auspicious, traditionally, and more practically it means a great start for my day. I am considering popping down to the studio on my own MWF at 5:30 eventually to keep up the good works. Maybe just getting out of the house is the key for me.

I am hoping that getting my iron and blood levels back in order will not only make me feel more energetic but also make weight loss not such a struggle. Right now all I am doing is maintaining, which isn't where I want to be, although all things considered, it's not so terrible.     Ha ha on the "yogic suggestion"! Very cute!

    I had the same problem while going through menopause. I was very anemic and was put on an iron supplement regime for quite some time. It solved the anemia, and I'm glad not to have to take iron any more, as it upset my stomach a bit. I hope your liquid supplement doesn't do that.

    Your yoga activities sound very good! I hope you can get your regular personal yoga practice going soon!

    Love your yoga bunnie! So cute! Hopefully you will feel better with iron and vit B. The thought of yoga early in the morning sounds lovely! emoticon
