Two years later...

Monday, March 28, 2016

Yep, it was exactly two years ago today that I last got on here and put down my deepest (and not so deep) thoughts. I thought I was starting over. But alas, something derailed me at the time, and I have no idea what it was. I'm sure I thought I was too busy or maybe I simply wasn't ready to commit. This time is different. I have no more time to lose. Plus, in addition to all of my virtual friends, who are very important in this journey, I also have two real life friends who are holding me accountable. I need all the help I can get!

I'm also on Day 3 of the 5% Spring Challenge. So far, it is going well. Logging all my food and water and doing great. The water is going down a little easier than I expected with the addition of lime, cumber, and mint - delicious. I'll mix it up with some other fruits, too. I'm thinking fresh berries would be a good addition.

Here's to all of us optimists who never give up. But I can tell you, I pray this is my last "I'm Back" blog I ever have to post.

I'm glad things have finally come together for you. I find it difficult to define but sometimes no matter how hard we try we just aren't there and other times it flows. At least for me. But as long as we don't give up we can finally make progress. Glad to see you still fighting. emoticon

The important thing is you came back and you are trying again. And you have all the tools you need to succeed this time, including a very contagious upbeat attitude. I am a firm believer in doing challenges with a group of people. The accountability and encouragement you get can make a difference. Glad you are back... that in itself is a success. Just think of what you would tell your patients. emoticon emoticon

emoticon and Congrats for making the time and commitment to do something great for yourself !! Like you, the key for me is also to have accountability partners and just keep pushing until it all becomes habit.

emoticon Wishing you much success !!

Keep on keepin' on! We fall aging and again, but the important thing is to get back up. If a babies learning to walk didn't get back up after fall s, they would never learn to walk.

As long as we keep coming back...we are winning the battle. I feel like I've written a million start over blogs. I have finally decided that every day I get up and make a choice to make a healthier choice is a step in the right direction. The 5% challenge is definitely a step in the right direction! emoticon Let's do this together! Go Clovers! emoticon
