Day 483 - Renewal

Sunday, March 27, 2016

We spent a good part of the afternoon outside repotting plants that survived the winter and pruning damaged branches from various shrubs and trees. The lemon tree has been moved to a less windy spot - I hope it is happier there! It was a reminder of the renewal that we all have to go through from time to time.

I am undergoing a renewing process right now. My body seems to be changing again - the new exercises are toning my muscles differently, and I have to get used to some new feelings under my skin. It's all good, but I find it interesting that our bodies adapt like they do to the changes we force upon ourselves. That's definitely happening to me.

Spring is the time of rebirth, and we can apply those principles to our own lives. Whether it's spring cleaning, or a new exercise routine, or getting back into fresh produce that has been missing from the store displays for a few months, we need to refresh the Spark so that we can keep moving forward on our journey.

Enjoy this time, and figure out what will motivate you to keep going. I hope you're feeling that sense of rejuvenation that comes with longer days. We need to keep Sparking every day, and in new ways when we can!

Prune away the dead wood (negative thoughts) and provide some fertilizer to the soil, and make the most of every day!

Yeah for Springtime and bring on the fertilizer! We were out in the garden pruning our red grape vine and some of the rambling roses that had gone a bit mad! All looking neater now and ready to gather new energy for the next growing season! Happy Easter Sunday, Steve!

My grandmother would have been relishing dandelion greens by now, something we are spared with our modern supermarkets. Enjoy setting up your garden!

Spring is such a great time for renewal and change...it's in the air and everything is changing around us in beauty and freshness! What a great time to unburden ourselves from heavy clothes to lighter fare and come out of our winter cocoon and expose ourselves to the transition of change and renewal! We need to be open to the process of rebirth... emoticon

I 've been working in my garden. I had a moment when the tulips blew off in the wind. I have some Jasmine blooming out front . The aroma is amazing. Spring is truly a new beginning. Thank you for your emoticon blog. Happy Easter!
