Spring break excitement and dread!

So with Spring break comes excitement and dread. The dread of the excessive temptations, the lack of routine and the tempations around every corner. I am excited to be having some time off of work to spend with the kids and hubby and to vacation but with that comes eating out and the whole lack of a routine. I love my Monday-Friday because I know what I am having for breakfast, I pack I my lunch and I plan what I am cooking for dinner. I am in control of all elements of what is put in front of me. On vacation I am not. I can not plan ahead when I do know no where we will even be or what type of food place we will even be at. I can guarantee you one thing, if it is my husband picking it will not be healthy and a salad will not even be on the menu. UGHHHH! My only saving grace is that we are cabin camping so 2 meals of the day I am planning on fixing so I will have (I am hoping) some control. Weather permitting I am hoping to get alot of activity in to counter any bad dinner menu choices or road trip choices while in transit.

This week was the first week in 3 that I finally broke my plateau and I do not want the week I come back from vacation to be a wash. I really want to continue to lose. When I started the month of March it was suppose to be the month I got out of the 200's but my weigh loss journey stalled and nothing happened for over 3 weeks. I finally lost 1 pounds but I still have 3.3 to go and I do not think I can do that in a week so I do not believe my goal will be reached this month sadly. emoticon

But I do have a doctors appointment at the end of next month and I would love to be well away from the 200's and be 192. Not sure if I can pull off 11 pounds in 5 weeks but I will try.

    Enjoy your time off with the family. Plan the meals you can and enjoy the meal that you order off the menu; keeping up with your exercise with fun hikes etc should keep you burning off what you eat.

    Just returned from vacation myself and did well. Lost 1# and able to cook meals at our timeshare as well. I took advantage of fresh fruit and veggies where I could and enjoyed chick filet fast food grilled chicken options and salad. Cracker Barrel to
