I got a peek at the fabulous life today

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

For the first time in 6 months, I made a doctors appointment. For several months I didn't even try to reschedule them, as I knew I wasn't well enough to drive confidently on most days. Not only thatt, but I made my first dinner date with a friend in probably a year. I almost asked her to pick a different day when we first decided, but I was committed to seeing her so I decided to push the limit.

So, we went to a Chinese Restaurant that I love, and got all my favorites. I think I did pretty good, we sent about half the food home with her. I think not taking that second potsticker was the hardest part.

I also set a new personal best and walked 3.4 miles today. I did a mile before the doctors appt, a mile before dinner and 1.4 more when I got home.

So you may be wondering, where is this fabulous life of which you speak. That's it. It is the reason why I am doing this. I've missed the little things like dinner with a friend, and being able to set an appoint for a week from now, knowing I will be able to make it.

Thank you all for commenting on my blog. I ended up sleeping 12 hours last night, and was not motivated when I woke up. Your encouragement has helped me face today with a positive outlook.

Nice to be able to check off all those goals. Dinner with a friend without over indulging and making plans! Isn't life grand! Keep it up!

Was it weight stopping you or depression? It sounds like my latest bout of depression.
