I'll never say a bad thing about Aldi again..

I used to be above Aldi, or so I thought...
I hated the idea of less variety and having to bag your own groceries. Don't even get me started on finding a damn quarter to rent a cart...
But I've been struggling these days. I'm by no means well-off since I left my monster of an exhusband, and I found myself in an Aldi.
My boyfriend Jonathan is 15 years older than me. He's really taken care of himself over the years and he looks amazing for his age; has never had a cigarette or done a drug in his life and he tries to eat organic whenever possible. He's one of "those" people, and his healthy habits have been rubbing off on me, too. He worries about keeping my cancer in remission and slowly but surely, I'm becoming one of "those" people. I was surprised the Aldi has organic produce at a price I can afford (I'm chowing on an organic banana as I sit here and type this).
We've fallen in love with the organic chia and coconut granola. I promised I'd stop by the store this afternoon and buy Jonathan his own personal box. At $2.89 a box, I might see what other kinds they carry.
They aisles are full of healthy finds. I purchased a BIG bag of lentils for $1.99 and I'm going to make a spicy brown rice and lentil soup tomorrow for dinner. Pretty excited. I love to save money.
So I guess the down side is that if you're not a cooker (I love to cook), you might not find everything you want. I did buy some Hot Pockety type "Fit & Active Southwest Veggie Sandwiches" that were pretty amazing, though... Personally, I think you should probably learn to cook anyway.
So there. I said it. I love Aldi and I wont say bad things about it anymore.
