Back procedures

Friday, March 04, 2016

I love the Shawshank Redemption, one of my favorite movies. A theme in it is that hope is a good thing. After my recent procedures, I feel hope again that I can overcome all the issues I've been having with my back.

Yesterday I had my radio frequency ablation on the nerves on my lower back, left side. Two weeks ago I had it done on my right. I am still having some pain in my right hip, but my doc said sometimes that resolves when the left is done too.

I'm hoping this is my last procedure. It is amazing to me that I may actually be able to have no pain, and wean off all my meds. At this point I would take slight pain and ability to just use over-the-counter meds to deal with it.

so yesterday was pretty much a non-healthy food and activity day. I still need to be a little slow today, but I'm going to head out for a walk in a few minutes anyway. Tonight we will have a healthy dinner of salmon and veggies, and this weekend I'm looking forward to going bike riding.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hope the nerve stuff works. There is no pain like back pain (or pain from that area!) It's good that you are walking and biking. Good luck!
