Good Housekeeping April 2015 page 115

"find QUIET TIME. Stressing over a deadline? Put down your project and zone out. "it may seem counterintuitive, but taking your mind off of what you need to focus on can lead you to creative solutions,' says Simon-Thomas. Your brain need regular breaks to maintain peak function, so try for 10-20 minutes every two hours."

I read somewhere, some time, that you concentrate best for only about 20 minutes at a time, and then should take just a short break in focus. Similar thinking here.

I'm loving Q, I there was a planned outage on Saturday that I wasn't aware of. I had to admit it was nice to not have any noise in the house. I did enjoy my quiet time.

Sipping my coffee in the morning is my quiet time.

No matter how chaotic things got at any given time, I have always taken 'time outs" for myself..often reading one of my ongoing books. I also walk..preferably that is good quiet time, too.

Walk every morning outdoors or on the treadmill if the weather is just horrid outdoors. That's my ME time to think, meditate, cogitate, ponder. Love it.
