Thanksgiving and Meditation 2/29/2016

As you can see I have changed the name of my positive points to Thanksgiving and Meditation. I think that is so much more appropriate. I haven't been able to stay awake long enough to type this in the evenings, thus the few day break.

Thanksgiving for the last few days:
1. Last week at work was a lot better than the last couple of months, or at least since we came back from Christmas break.
2. So far this week is looking pretty good at work.
3. My husband and I finally had a day off together on Saturday and he went in a little later on Sunday so we were able to go to church together on Sunday.
4. God kept his hand on my youngest son at National Guard Drill this last weekend and brought him home safely.

I have finally gotten back to my goal weight since my boys wanted me to make our family candy for Christmas. I ate it and I couldn't stop. That kept my sweet tooth going and I just stopped the sweets last week. Yes, I am addicted to sugar so can't have it at all. When I totally cut it out, I don't want it, but if I eat even a little I just want more and more. I only put on 5 pounds with that candy and the animal crackers after Christmas to quell my sweet tooth, but it was still hard to stop it again.

The Lord has been truly good. He helps me to see my weaknesses and helps me to overcome them.

Verse of the day: Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
