This is the first time I've ever seen any of you vlogs. I think it sucks being diagnosed with MS. However, you have a wonderful attitude. I totally relate to your falling incident because I'm an over weight klutz with Fibromyalgia. I have had that feeling that I felt my body betrayed me.

Look chica just remember everybody's journey is different. I once knew a lovely lady who had MS. She happened to be my aerobics instructor. Exercise and eating right lot's of fruit and veggies but, she at turkey, fish, and chicken. 'During a huge hurricane we had in South Florida she did something that shocked me at the time; she was doing her aerobics in a small room waiting it out. Mind you I was only a little older than you are and I realized then that anything can be overcome. I'm not saying she didn't have her flair ups but, she never faltered.

Listen to your body and stop reading those forums. I'm probably old enough to be your mother and I don't know how but, you had me entralled and I saw the whole video. I found myself shaking my head at times. Don't ever minimize you pain and don'f feel guilty because other people might be in a tremondous amount of pain or in a wheelchair. That is their journey not yours. Be like my aerobics instructor and that was like 20 plus years ago and she did it. So don't think of it as a death sentence.

As far as diet I tried a Raw Food Diet and found I ate less and felt much better. Let your body be you guided.

I admire that you do roller derby. I want to learn to rollerskate but, like you I have a hard time getting. But, the more I exercise I am realizing that "hey, it's getting easier:. Maybe, you should repeat that mantra to yourself. I'm not saying there won't be hard days but, there will also be good days. Focus on that. I wish you luck and I am going to check on you every once in while to check on the beautiful young lady who kept me entertained for 25 minutes. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Best of luck to you in your MS journey. I became familiar with things & did some research when my sister in law was diagnosed 3-4 years ago. I think the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle would be an excellent help, but please do supplement with fish (and fish oil) & grassfed meat, the healthy fats in them are helpful. There's a youtube video I'm sure you've seen with a dr who was completely immobile in a tilt wheelchair and "healed herself" (or at least went into long term remission) through diet. Also Anne Romney & Montel Williams both claim diet & exercise have helped them immensely. OK, I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you haven't already researched, so I'll stop. Good luck to you!
