Day 453 - Numbers

Friday, February 26, 2016

I got the results of my blood test this morning. (Wow, that was FAST!)

I was very pleased with the results. A major NSV, if you ask me. This program works. I will compare them to my last round of blood tests tomorrow. Here are the highlights:

HDL: 85 (higher than 60 is good)
LDL: 75 (less than 130 is desirable)
Total Cholesterol: 174 (less than 200)
Triglycerides: 68 (less than 150)
Blood Sugar: 94 (less than 100)
PSA: 2.2 (less than 4.0)

The only red flag was A1C, which was 5.7% (which is borderline). The strange thing is that I've never had a problem with blood sugar, and I've never been diabetic. So I don't know what that number means, but I can tell you this: I am NOT going to worry about it!

I was most grateful for the PSA number. I am a little concerned about my prostate because my dad just went through prostate cancer treatment 18 months ago. I would love to avoid that, but know that it is part of my genetic history. My dad's brother, my uncle Don, also had prostate cancer.

We have to take care of ourselves every day. It isn't always easy, but it's always possible. I chose healthy options today for my meals, and stayed active all day. I feel great, and this blood word just confirms that this program works. It doesn't just work, it's AWESOME. And the friends I've met along the way are like the gift that keeps on giving.

My heart is full, and my body is pumped for the day ahead. Keep Sparking, friends, and focus on your health every day!

Those results are extraordinary. WOW!! Your cholesterol bombers deserve an award. That blood sugar number can be deceptive, depending on what you ate before the test. It isn't really high. I am delighted you are so healthy!! xoxoxo

emoticon on the test results! All your hard work and good choices paid off big time. You've set the bar pretty high with these numbers, but I know you'll have no trouble maintaining.
Hope you're having a great day and looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

Great numbers Steve, go out and have a great day. Your hard work has paid off! SP can change lives as we have seen with you and I and many others. Keep up the good work, my friend. I am going to the doctor in a couple of weeks for my 2 year post op. I just had blood work done last month by my GP and the only thing I had was my B12 was a little high, and that is probably because of the supplement I take. My GP said it wasn't high enough to make any changes. Have a great day and weekend. After our 9 inches of snow on Wednesday, we are to be in the 70's this weekend. We have had such a seesaw winter!

Great numbers Steve! I have a neighbor who had prostrate cancer treatment, He told me if I took 10 mg's of Lycopene daily I'd never have a problem. It may already may be in your daily vitamin. If not I'd hedge my bet and consider the supplement.

    Congratulations! Brad

Your A1C is still good, it IS an average over four months, so it is about right.
    Your numbers ARE great!!

I, too, know this program is awesome and works! You're numbers were great! Your A1C at 5.7% I think is just fine...don't even consider that borderline! For a non diabetic under 6.0 Is good! As you said...not to worry!
Hope you have a great Friday!
    Hugs,
    Mary

Wonderful results Steve! Don't you just feel awesome! One of my greatest NSV was when the doctor took me off Statins for my Cholesterol. I was on it for years and it wasn't until I lost my weight , that my cholesterol was finally in the normal range. We deserve to be healthy after all the hard work we do to feel good, right? Sending you much love, fredie
