Feeling better today. Down a couple pounds

I'm better today. I'm down a couple pounds too. I'm trying to figure out a plan that I can do that's not too restrictive. I know I need to track but I'm trying to decide to track calories vs macros. For some reason macros is harder for me. I think its because I have sensitivities to a lot of fats and proteins. Plus calories is just one number to track. LOL.
I'm looking for something that I can be happy with and that will get me results currently. I can always switch depending on my goals anyway, right? I'm thinking of tracking my meals in 400 calorie increments for now. There are so many books out there with 400 calorie meal ideas too which would be so helpful for me.
I really do need to work on my micronutrients more than anything else. I need to get me a good multi-vitamin and maybe have some kind of a fruit-veggie smoothie once a day or something? It would be nice to have a Ninja blender. This might be a birthday request this year. I got about $200 from parents last year, mine and Josh's because they're awesome! I'd love to get one then.
If I did 4 400 calorie meals a day that would be 1600 calories which is a deficit for me based on my BMR so weight loss would indeed happen.
My husband attended a time/management class and some of the examples she used was weight loss. She said we all have to find a zoom level we are comfortable with. When it comes to weight loss, success comes from a combo of a plan we can stick with and focusing on a certain goal we want to meet or shoot for whether its 5 pounds, 10 pounds or 1 pound. My husband absorbed that class like a sponge. LOL.
So for today. I slept through breakfast. LOL. So at lunch my meal was about 648 calories total. So for a snack I'll do another 400 and for dinner I'll do 400 and if I get hungry again, I'll try another 200 calorie snack for the day.
