Prague and schoolahoop...

Monday, February 22, 2016

Last week I was in Prague during the weekend. A friend who moved there celebrated his 50th birthday and some of us traveled to Prague by car - this friend has a Tesla whch means that it is free to drive - so far it is free to charge Teslas and it was an interesting trip as we had to adapt to where the chargers where and stop there... worked reallly well except that there are no charchers in the czech Republic. But there was a Teslaowner in Prague who offered my friend to charge her Tesla there for the return drive, and it lasted to Dresden where the closest charger was.
Prague was beautiful, they have cleaned it since the fall of the wall, most people spoke acceptable english and restaurants, shopping etc was rather cheap. One could also notice that the czech people were acceptably wealthy, it is not nice to be a tourist in a very poor country...

But the trip made me realise that even though my company was interesting and very nice, I am not interested in traveling to see things or shop or even socialize -only. I am interested to do things and meet people who are doing things...

I had to get a new passport for the trip - my last passport expired in 2011, that shows that I am not that into travels anymore. But as I apid for a new passport I have to use it ;-)
So yesterday I found a summercamp in UK for daughter and me:

and I signed up and even paid and got confirmation that they will expect us. I asked to borrow hoops, we will fly very low budget and bringing hoops of our own would cost more than buying on site... athoug I need a special for a "fluffy hooper"... I made a "travel hoop" when I was making a lot of hoops some years ago, it was sort of improvised and when I check it now, I see that the parts are still a little to long to fit in the allowed suitcase. So I have to make a new, that will be fun!

I also looked for airbnb - my days in a tent is over, sleeping on the gorund for four nights would probably make me unable to hoop or even move. It seems as the area is very busy during the frst day in june so I got negative answers to my airbnb - instead I booked a hotel 2,5 km from the camp site and even found a bus we can use! I also bought the flight tickets, the only remaining problem to solve is how we get from the airport to the hotel - there are coaches but I will explore if it is possible to get a cab, we will arrive in the evening and three hours in a bus, maybe having to switch sounds a little overwhelming.

Hmm, I thought I was going to save money for my retirement but now I am spending them on a hulahoop weekend... more scary since I am not fit at all for the moment but I have 15 weeks to build strngth and endurance, started with ten minutes of hooping today, I had not forgot all but have to start a little bit over, for example I can only hoop in one direction for the moment.

I have only worked one day since Prague, been home with a cold for five days now, very annoying. A bit better today but I think I will have to rest tomorrow too. This will stress me a lot as deadline for the business march edition is coming up. And for the moment I fall asleep over the keyboard, my nose is so jammed I donĀ“t sleep very well during the night.
