GET THIS!!!! He failed and they gave him a new test date!!

Saturday, February 20, 2016

For those of you who have been following my saga with DH and his Alzheimer's, there is yet another incomprehensible result.

He has failed his road test twice now, and today was the road test again. He failed it.

"That's good," I thought. i was all ready to breathe out a huge sigh of relief.

But NO! The instructor told me he failed the test. Then we got to listen to the instructor talk for about 10 minutes.

When I caught the instructor in between words I said "Thank you for giving him this opportunity." and turned around to leave.

But NO! The instructor said "Wait just a moment please".

So we waited, and here he comes WITH A NEW TEST DATE IN MARCH!!!

I was completely dumb-founded.

I can't seem to get these people to understand that allowing people who have dementia or Alzheimer's and fail the test ONCE, that they should not be given another chance at the road tests.

It is truly crazy-making!

If you're doing all the driving, I don't know, maybe telling your DH that if he gives up his license it will save money on your car insurance? It actually is true so you won't be lying.

It is one reason that Ray's license will not be renewed on his 95th birthday later this year.

I am entitled to a discount but Ray is not due to his advanced age.

With a lot of men, money really does talk.

Prayers are going up for you and everyone else on the road....

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. Having gone through this with my mother in law and my uncle I know how upsetting this must be for you. I'm sending you a hug tonight!
