A to Z Happiness Boosters to try - 3

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Good Housekeeping April 2015 page 113.

This one won't apply to everyone, but might be adapted if you travel the same route all the time to work...or any other place. I did some long commutes taking kids to school...esp. the years I did carpools.

"Change Your Commute"
"Dealing with trains or traffic can be a huge happiness drain. But if you walk or bike instead, you'll arrive cheerier and more focused, according to research - even if it means your commute is longer. If an active commute isn't possible, listen to an audio book to give your brain a mental getaway."

When you must drive, listening to something recorded, of your choice, really does make the drive more pleasant! :) emoticon

Its good in every possible way. That wind in your hair is feelgood, the saving of fuel is good, emissions from your car...dont happen. And you get exercise which is also feelgood. Super reminder.

It's true, I bike to work almost every chance I get! I noticed that some folks still ride their bike in the winter, I think I might try that.

The whole idea is getting a little more active. I like it!
