Short and sweet

Hi there friends. I am still out here in the world believe it or not. I have to admit, it has been a bumpy ride, but I have survived it and am ready to do something good for myself...namely...get back on Spark. I have not let go of my Spark friends or what I have learned here. Not in my heart. It has just been a bit much LIFE lately and I fully admit to shutting down. I think it is time to open back up though so I pledge to start slowly. I cannot lay it all out in one blog so I will try bit by bit to get back in the swing of things and share as I go.

I am starting my renewal with the Chinese New Year, which is happening now, as this is where I am. China. Hong Kong to be exact. I have been living here with my little family since the last week of July, 2015. But more on that later...

I am recomitting to work on my health by starting with: reducing my sugar intake and increasing my whole fruits and vegetable intake. (I know fruit has lots of sugar. We can quibble about that later. Or not.) Also water. I am in the process of rehydration. Just getting by, and being truly confused by life has left me somewhat porly nourished. And a bit dried out.

So, back I am, to have another go at this...although, I have to admit, my commitment to Spark, never being far from my mind, allowed me to come through it all better than had I never been here at all ...and I am so grateful to have you in my corner, despite my living in what amounts to a turtle shell all of these months. Thank you!

Kunghei fatchoy! (Wishing you a year of Happiness and Prosperity!)

Hey Hey! China is such a fabulous country! If you want a couple of amazing places to visit, I can make suggestions. ;-) There are plenty of places to hike, as well, but mostly stone. It may have been a bumpy ride, but think of the flexibility you are teaching your kids! Can't wait to catch up and hear the whole story!

It's nice to hear from you again. You are seeing a lot more of the world than we did, and I'm a little jealous. After I retired I wanted to spend a year in England, then a year in France, then Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, etc., but my wife wanted to be one of those "Good Sammies." It turned out she was talking about the Good Sam campgrounds, so we spent 12 years living in a travel trailer and van. We saw Canada, the US, and half of Mexico, but eventually settled down again and bought a house.

I hope you're enjoying your life on the road - I suspect it's more educational than ours was. emoticon emoticon

Ronna! So good to hear from you, you globe-trotter you!
Are you still doing blogging and photography? Hubby still a chef de cuisine? Kids still adorable?

Yes, water is good. I have started drinking 1 - 2 glasses of water to start the day, instead of going for coffee first. Got to be grateful to have clean, safe water, right?

I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.

I've thought of you quite a few times over the past year. Excited to hear about your new adventure and, of course, the trials and tribulations of settling yet again into a completely foreign state.
We're just starting chocolate Easter bunny production, so sticking to fruits and vegetables would be a wise idea in these parts as well. :)
    Miss you!

Can't wait to hear about your Hong Kong adventures....

I took a week off of "sweets" at the start of February, and still ate fruit. I will not quibble with you on that! I think we all know the difference between a twinkie and an apple.

And if you up the fresh fruits and veggies, think of all the water you will be eating!

Wow, you have more than your fair share of challenges. Surely God knows you are strong. Getting super tiring I'm sure. So glad you are back. That is the key (selfishly). Hugs and more hugs to you. We are here.

I am with you water and more water. Lets try this. one step, good decision at a time. Less sweets too. I am with ya and yes, lets add fruit. I definitely need more of that. A team we are. Let's go. We got this.

Welcome back. Life sure can throw us curves after curves. Now at least you are in an area with the best fresh produce available I would guess
