2 - 3 weeks ago I decided to give my health and lifestyle an overhaul (again). It was researching and trying to educate myself that I stumbled across SP.
I am currently at Day 6 with SP and feeling really good about things, BUT I am already worried about losing motivation. This happens every time I make changes, things start out great but at some point I lose the drive and the weight creeps up, I look around different support pages/groups and see that it is somewhat of a common issue, one which no-one seems to have the direct answer to. Different people have different motivators? You need to just keep trying to find that one for you?
I usually do all I can to avoid a photo as I don't want to see myself and my spare room has one wall of mirrors, so I have always tried to avoid that room because I can't stand to look at myself. I am now trying to change that. I am thinking of using photos of myself along the way so I can see and compare changes. Yesterday I also made that dreaded mirrored room my workout room, set up with TV and player to do the Leslie Sansone WATP. The fur-babies, Daisy & Pumbaa, laid on the bed and watched me going back and forth, red faced puffing and panting dripping with sweat (on an already hot day). At the end of it, as exhausted as I felt, it also felt great just for the fact that I actually did it.
I am about to head downstairs to do it all again...so I will leave these notes at that for now.
