"The Beck Diet Solution" is a journey in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which could actually be used to change any type of behavior.
I began this book a few days ago but haven't blogged about it and I promised to do that. So here we go!
On Day 1 I'm supposed to list my reasons for losing weight and write them on cards, called my Advantage Response Cards.
My reasons for losing weight fell into four categories and I made an Advantage Response Card for each one:
While thinking and writing these I had a revelation! There is one that matters a lot to me, even though it's a bit silly. No more Fat Knees! lol
The only time I don't have fat knees is when I am really, truly slim. I'm 67 and that hasn't happened since I was about 57. So there's a goal for me, hmmm? No More
The things you learn about yourself when you begin to write. Sometimes I don't know what I think until it comes out my pencil.
