Sugar hiding?

Saturday, February 06, 2016

I read a title of an article just now of a Spark mail. It said "Where is sugar lurking in your diet?" Man, it doesn't lurk in my diet. It jumps out screaming saying SWEEEEEET COME AND GET ME, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO! sigh Does anyone else have the same feeling? My sweet tooth sometimes seems to be a whole mouthful of sweet teeth.

I did so well with sweets in 2014 when I lost a lot of weight. I was so careful to eat appropriately sized portions and logged every bite. Even most of last year I did pretty good. Lately, though, I've been slipping quite a bit. And have slipped a lot with my exercising!

Kaytie, I think I am going to go right now to join the challenge. Not sure I could manage the no snacks, sweets or seconds. I can live without the seconds, but absolutely no snacks or sweets, I'm not sure.

Thanks, all of you for your support and comments. Each and every one of them means a lot to me! :)

I can definitely relate! I think I am growing more "sweet teeth" as time goes on. I can't stop at just a bite or a taste either. I know I should look for better alternatives but usually wind up giving in which entirely derails what I'm trying to accomplish.

There is a 21-day Tame Your Sweet Tooth Challenge out there on SparkPeople which I have joined before and should join again. There is also Taming the Sweet Tooth Team, one called Temptation Busters and also the No S Diet team (No snacks, no sweets, no seconds). We just have to keep working on it. We can get a grip on this and not let sugar get the upper hand.

I have such a problem with sweets that I have completely given them up for now. I can't take one bite and stop. I am eating fruit as a substitute.
