Today has been quiet once again and for that I am grateful. The week has been more emotional and busy than I had expected and my health journey totally suffered because of it. I've acknowledged it, made initial plans to get back on track and am putting it behind me as best I can. It does help that I feel awful with the weight gain (thank you sodium) and lack of fitness time!
The day began at Isaac's basketball game.
Once again it was close the entire time and sadly a couple of last minute fouls took them from a tie to a loss of 23-26.
I am proud of 3 of those 10 fouls though. That's my boy! Tim told me I need to remember this isn't football. LOL
After the game Maegann and I went to pick up our Bountiful Basket.
They were loaded full today so that means the number of participants was up! Yeah! I also brought home a couple extras. Corn chips to bake and some sugar cookies to frost. The cookies are for the co-op party on Monday.
Once home I got busy cleaning out the frig and getting the new stuff put away. I still need to take the time to chop up veggies to have on hand for salads and cooking this week, but Tim needed the kitchen to finish up the tile work to complete the kitchen remodel.
I then decided to watch "Hawthorne" while cleaning out the digital photos that I've tucked away in the computer all year. Was fun seeing all the different things we did. I did want to post a couple I ran across in light of my dad's death last Sunday.
This is my mom and dad's wedding photo from Feb. 3, 1956.
Mom died in 1996 from a brain tumor at the age of 67 and I miss her very much. The next picture was taken at my dad's 88th birthday party while my brother and his wife were visiting in November.
I also saw pictures of dad taken about the time he broke his ankle (Oct. 2014) and it was amazing how much he'd aged/changed in a years time. Rough year for him.
Tomorrow.... church, gym, bbq hamburgers, make our Superbowl "meal" (7-layer dip and a cheese dip). Those dips are an annual event and I don't make a ton...just enough for all of us to enjoy during the football game.
And my choice for the win tomorrow....
