Busy again.

Wow, can't believe it's been that long since I've been here, but rt is keeping me hoping.

I have a new great-niece, Emma, born 1/31, and a fundraiser (meat raffle) which we raised $4,000 about, not to mention I have that sore on my ankle that seems to be getting worse.

Today, in bed, it felt fine, but I got up and it started hurting so bad I told my son that on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the greatest pain, mine was 9. Yes, it hurt that bad. Normally I can handle pain without a problem, but not this.

I've tried the thing the doc had me use on my foot and it's made it worse, I'm without a bandage on it now, hoping it scabs over at least, which is seems to have, but it's still leaking a little fluid. I've used peroxide on it, to clean it and been told that's not good to us.

I stopped bandaging it because the tape I used was making it sore around the "ulcer", so now that's red.

It doesn't hurt now, I'm kind of wondering, I looked at it and it almost looks like part of the scab had come off..maybe that's why it hurt so bad, hard to tell.

The $8,000 donation (notice switch here) from the foundation for the playground in December, was accepted by the ones who are matching any money donated, so instead of $8,000 we'll be getting $24,000 with the matching grant. and the Meat raffle, we'll end up with $12,000. YAY!!! That's $35,000 since the first of the year, and should put our total up to $360,000 out of the $400,000 we need. SO CLOSE!!

If we were going by our original grant, we'd be there, but because we've got to go according to the City, we're $40,000 away yet. We may have the playground built by the end of summer. YAY!!

I hope you're all doing well, my nephew's seizures have gone down, but he sent me a recording of him and his mom arguing (which I didn't care to hear). Apparently she accused him of smoking pot in the house, etc, and he denied it, saying it was a cigar (I know the two of them smell different).

I understand my sister being upset..he's having seizures, claims the pot relaxes his brain, so "no seizures" (which is bs), and her husband went through drug/alcohol rehab, for a long time. Plus she's got Cam at the house and doesn't need to get him taken away. Such a sad situation, but what can one do?

Then I found out the government is stealing pictures off my Facebook page, because my other nephew has a back injury, while working for the Post Office, and they took pictures I'd taken of him at his own son's birthday party at a bowling alley, without asking me!! They had it at his one meeting he had to go to, so he asked me to remove all pics of the birthday party off my Facebook.

THEN my brother's telling me to add his wife as a friend again..oh heck no!! She's the type who likes to think that everything's about her, and I'm not going to do it. He don't need to know if I added her or not, I won't be told who I can and cannot have on my FB page, I'm sorry.

*Deep breath" so that's the drama that's been going on here, still wonder why I've not been around much? *L*

Have a great day, and smile, no matter what...things could be much worse.

Oh, our Daughter took a picture of her Golden Retriever and two of her cats; Schmittens and Athena, and called it "Homeward Bound: Part 2 (2 cats and a dog instead of 2 dogs and a cat *L*)

I also forgot to mention that my Husband hit a deer with his car, another of the fun things added in:

I love how it looks like 2 deer kissing on the hood where the dent is. *L*

sorry to hear about your facebook troubles -- nothing is off limits these days as long as the government is involved.

You really never DO slow down, do you! Good grief. Glad your SIL wasn't hurt in the deer run in.

    Sending hugs, smiles and prayers!
