how?

My class had an interesting topic on how? Not why I gained weight, not why am I out of breath, or anything like that. The topic was "how?" How can I stay in my box? How can I fit in more time to exercise? How can I change? So "how?" becomes more important than any other question we ask ourselves.
Can you ask yourself How? And come up with good answers?
How do I stay in my box, all the time? This is very hard. Sometimes I.just.want.to.eat. Like food, especially savory food, like chicken, or beef, or potatoes, or some heavier calorie-dense food. How do I convince myself to stay inside my box? I am going day by day, and am employing all my tricks of the trade, the most important (to me) is that I am paying a heck of a lot of money for my program. I cannot AFFORD not to succeed!! (so a financial consequence). The other, equally important, is seeing how I feel right now after losing 28 lbs, and how I was feeling 28 lbs. ago. I still look ginormous in the mirror, and to be truthful, am still large. I have a long way to go. But I feel so much better, easier putting on the shoes and socks, bending, squatting, etc.
Another how? I need to employ is to set short term goals. The mental aspect of how I am doing is important. I have been thinking of clothes to get rid of, and have started (mentally) selecting items from my closet that I do not want anymore because they are too big.
An idea I learned in Weight Watchers years ago still holds true:
Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.
So I am going to continue to use that as my mantra.
