Hard Work Pays Off

Like most people, I had a new years resolution to lose weight. The only difference is that I've had that same goal for the last 15 years. I told myself I would fully, truly commit myself to a healthier lifestyle for 30 days and see what happened.
The first step in my commitment was exrcise. I hate exercise. It's always been my downfall when it comes to losing weight. When I told myself I was going to try and lose weight before that meant exercising 3-4 days a week...the bear minimum. This time around I'm exercising 6 days a week. In the morning no less.
I've never really had a problem eating healthy. The problem is that I love food so portion size was always my downfall. I was a lazy measurer, always guess-timating what a correct portion size was supposed to be. This time I'm not cheating, I'm measuring, and I'm eating smart.
So what happened?
I saw the scale move. I lost 7 lbs and I'm only 21 days into my 30 day challenge. This has never happened before. Even when I thought I was trying my hardest the scale wouldn't budge. And since I need immediate gratification I would often quit before I ever even got a chance to see a change. I'm so focused I can't wait for the 30 days to be up so I can start over again. I'm going to tackle my weight loss just 30 days at a time. I can do anything for just 30 days.
So my point is to do it. Do it right, don't cheat because you're only cheating yourself. Do it with all your heart, go all in. When you think you can't do anymore, keep going. Enjoy the burn. Don't give up. Believe in you!
