Busy busy and holy cow that was hard!

Monday, February 01, 2016

So, what a wonderfully busy weekend. My kiddo was with his Dad this weekend and that's always hard. I miss him so much when he's gone. I find I definitely appreciate him when he's back though. I spent the bulk of Saturday at an off road expo with my boyfriend and his 19 year old son. We had a blast. They are fun people. It was fun to hear my boyfriend talk about something he enjoys so much, turned into a little boy. His son said something really nice about us. He said it's the happiest he's seen his Dad in years. I'm so glad. On the way home from that we stopped at an away basketball game to watch his 14 year old daughter cheer. So awesome. Sunday was a birthday party in Indy. It was a pretty good weekend....would have been better if my kiddo was with us, but I know he was having a good time with his Dad.

Now....the hard part. I just finished doing a 2 minute plank. Holy cow. I am so proud of myself. I really had to push to get it and so far I'm staying right on track with the challenge. I am supposed to do one more day of 2 minutes and then I'm supposed to go to 2.5 minutes. I'm not super confident about that one. I'll do my best, if I can't make it, I'm not going to stress about it. I'll just keep going until I can.

Thanks for your continued support. I feel like I'm starting to get somewhat back on track, even if I'm not working out every day yet. Have a wonderful day.

Sounds like a great weekend, and it is fabulous that you have someone who appreciates how special you are. 2 minute plank...I can manage about 3 seconds. Amazing! Well done x

SOunds like a very fun weekend. AND DUDE. You rock that plank! That is a freaking workout, even if it only lasts 2 minutes. That is the longest 2 minutes of all time!

As for the kiddo, I'm sure eventually it will become a more welcome break (at least from time to time) but I agree, it must be hard. I don't know how I would do it.

So happy that your weekend was full of fun, family and making great memories! It is always hard when a kiddo is not with you, but like you said it makes the time he is with you so much more precious.
