Today really took on a life of its own and I have survived to tell about it!
First thing was picking up our Bountiful Basket.
I also chose to buy the Salad Pack this week as it sounded like it would have items that are on my current nutrition plan and I was right! Yummy extras!
I then stopped at Subway and had a quiet breakfast before going to the grocery store for a few items and then home to put everything away. I had just finished up and it was time to head to Isaac's basketball game.
Isaac did not play well today and honestly I was surprised his team made it to within 8 points by the end. Just looked like an entirely different team from last week. Still fun.
And here is where the day took an unexpected turn. Maegann and I both felt like we had an eye infection starting. Very likely as Tim is fighting a major one right now. Maegann and I decided to head to Quick Care and get some antibiotic drops. That part actually went rather quickly, but getting the drops did not. It was 3 hours from the time we left for Quick Care to the time we were home with both bottles. First pharmacy had only filled one and sent us away for 30 minutes to fill the second one. Got back and learned they didn't have another one of those so would I like them to call the Walgreens across town. Of course. I was getting very tired by then of the driving around town. To make it more fun Maegann and I bought milkshakes at Sonic and then chose two movies from RedBox for the weekend.
Once home I was able to finish up the paid work as I had received the signed documents back. It has all been sent in for processing. I also set up an appointment with a potential adult client for Thursday morning. Interview from both sides. I need to do some research on the adult clients before going so I know what information I need. I've got the children's plans down quite well so onto new territory!
As I was working Tim was needing my help once in awhile to haul countertops. Here are the before and after photos of the kitchen!
This is how it looked when we bought the house.
And this was today before we put the sink back in and put things away on the counters.
We love it!!!!! So much brighter, feels much bigger and with more cabinets and walking room....useable!
And while that was happening, the kids were having fun playing Mario Karts on the Wii.
We love the times when they actually are getting along and having fun together.
Tonight Maegann is at a teen party at the pastor's home. We don't have a huge number of teens at church, but I was glad she wanted to go. I think it helped that it was at Pastor Steve's as she loves him and his wife so much.
And just for fun.... these are a few pictures from this past week. First up is Maegann with her new hamster Snowball.
This hamster seems to enjoy balancing on its hind legs and does it quite well. He's a sweetheart.
And next up....Isaac. He wanted to have Miss Lois trim his hair and also to have it washed.
She had so much fun as she doesn't get to work on him. We thought this look was cute....an idea of what he'll look like with gray hair when he is older.
Tomorrow.... church, leading the Jr. High class (Friday's chemo treatment really dropped Angela so she needs to be home resting.) and then after things are ready to go to co-op I will cross-stitch and watch a movie. Not liking that there aren't any football games! LOL
