A lot of you know that DH is in mid-stage Alzheimer's.
Because of that, the DMV suspended his license until he got a form filled out by his doctor.
Took him to the Doctor, had him examined, and told the Doc about the form. I thought for sure he would say he couldn't supply it.
Doc had the required forms in his office, filled it out saying Ted was okay to be re-tested for his license. Then the Doc's nurse faxed it to the DMV.
DMV sets him up with a date for the written exam. He took it yesterday, and failed it. But THEN, the DMV people said he could retake it as many times as he needed to.
So today we go back, and he retakes the exam.
Bad news: He passed it and got a driving test date for Feb. 6
Good news: He passed it and now I have a little more flexibility to go to Massachusetts to help Daughter, who has incurable brain cancer.
Did you all know that if a doctor fills out a form after testing the patient, he can recumbent the DMV give the Alzheimer's another chance???
Scary, isn't it!!!
