Bird seed diet - 1-26-16

Tuesday, January 26, 2016

This squirrel would like to know how much longer it will be before he doesn't need to dig through six feet of snow to get to those nuts he buried - he's TIRED of bird seed!

Kudos to Colleen and Scott Whiteman for keeping him supplied through the winter!

With the relatively mild weather, our IL squirrels are rather chubby. Kitties love watching them scurrying about.

The squirrels back in Illinois were rather robust looking with great bushy tails , but here in Florida .. when I do see one .. they look like they need a meal or two and skinny little tails.Guess that's the colder climate vs the warm one??? I really don't know.

Our squirrels mooch of the droppings from our seed feeders and suet feeders. Plenty to go around. The smart ones are the chipmunks. They harvested pine cones and walnut's by the hundreds and hid them behind and under the garden shed. emoticon emoticon
