2016: Day 19 - Yawning as I Write
Tuesday, January 19, 2016
Today was nonstop busy, but not physically busy, mentally busy. It was the kind of day when you are so busy and you look at the clock and are amazed that it is already lunch time. I missed my midmorning walk, had a short lunchtime walk and a short walk after work. Now I am supposed to be studying, but am Sparking while I wait for the coffee to kick in.
It rained most of the night and part of the morning. By the time I was driving home, there were clouds, blue sky and no rain. I expected to see a rainbow, but did not. However, I did notice the soft yellow-green of new leaves, the deep orange red of the pine needles on the ground and the silvery shine of water. We have been getting much needed rain and we need a lot more over time. I will take those colorful sights as a freshened rainbow of sorts. Enjoying those sights and the softness in the air made me smile.
This week so far:
9 glasses of water each day
at least 3.5 miles a day
10K steps a day
10,005 today (squeaker!)
I omitted my body comment in yesterday's blog. Today: I like my blue eyes because they are blue, because they are fearfully and wonderfully made and because, with glasses, I can see such things as the veins of leaves, the shades of color, the beauty in my cat's fur, not to mention loving faces and the beauty of all the outdoors.
While I yawn, I am thankful for all that this day has brought, good and bad.
