2016: Day 17 - Yesterday and Today
Sunday, January 17, 2016
I did not get online to blog yesterday. I worked all day, cut out early and went to the hockey game last night. The Sharks beat the Stars, winning in overtime! We had great seats and could see the entire rink. The food was ok and there was no chance to overeat because we got there so late there was almost nothing left.
I had thought I would not make my exercise goal yesterday. What I did not meet was my water goal, but I exceeded both steps and distance. 11790 steps and 4.45 miles which means I exceeded my 20.16 miles for the week!
I went to work extra early yesterday knowing that I would be leaving an hour early for the game. I had been asked to do extra work because a lady in the office is on maternity leave. To my amazement, there was enough work to do up to lunch time. After that, in between phone calls (LOTS of phone calls), I caught up on some reading for job #1. But the lack of work also meant no time/work/money today. C'est la vie.
Today is my rest day. My left foot is very sore. I am going to relish this day off! Not sure what we're doing for BF's birthday. We both used canes at the game last night. He needs a knee replacement, but the VA won't do it until he turns 60, so he may be in too much pain to do anything celebratory.
I read a SparkPeople blog about liking my body at any size. My response to the title has always been "yeah, right. That will never happen." I reread the article. So, today, I say,
"I like my hands because the fingers look like my dad's and the raised veins in the back of my hands look like gramma's. I love the fact that my body advertises my legacy."
