Another busy week, most of it good.
Not a huge lottery winner, of course, but I did win $8, and our daughter won $12 this week, and $4 last drawing.
However, we did get our donation last week, and it ended up being a total of $100,000. Can you believe it?? One foundation gave $50,000 and another matched it with another $50,000. Plus, I'd gotten another $8,000 donation from another foundation. Now we're up to $318,500. not far from our goal of $400,000. (The city raised the final amount because of the rise in cost of supplies/equipment since 2014 and in case we missed anything.)
We were supposed to go to the Comedy club with my Brother, his wife, and our Daughter (on her birthday) and Son-in-Law; HOWEVER....as we were all walking up to the building my brother says "Did you buy your tickets?" My hubby and I stopped and looked at him, thinking he was joking, but nope..he'd not bought us tickets. There were 1 extra set, but he'd already sold them to his friend and his wife.
So my Hubby and I missed the show on our daughter's bday, and instead went elsewhere for supper and waited 4 hours for the show to get done so we could pick up our Daughter and SIL, who'd rode with us. I wasn't the happiest. Last time we went with him, my brother had bought all the tickets and we paid him back, go figure.
This morning I got up at 6 am to go to a breakfast meeting with the Optimist club, and I get to the restaurant and they aren't there. I went to another restaurant, and the waitress there called around to the only open restaurants, and they weren't anywhere. I went home and looked at the calendar and saw the meeting is next Tuesday. I wanted to scream, I could have stayed in bed. *L* Oh well, at least I didn't miss the meeting, that's the important thing.
Then my Hubby, last Friday, was coming home to work and the brand new back tire blew out. He just pulled over, and checked it, and then changed to the donut tire. This tire is only a few weeks old, so it was under warranty, but when I took it in, they said it was "cut" by a piece of metal on the road...in other words, they didn't want to replace their product. Sure, they replaced my remote for the Equinox because it was under warranty and they had no excuse for why it wasn't working, but not the new tire.
Fun life. The radio interview was wonderful after the check presentation AND I found out at the interview that the two foundations are going to match every donation to the playground with $2 of their own money, so if they donate $4, we'll get $12 instead. YAY!
Our Daughter and SIL's Bengal had her kittens today, only 3, but so pretty. There were 4 but one had died at least a day before, which is probably why she went into labor. All 3 females, the only boy died.
Mama and Babies:
Our GrandPup got a cut under his eye because they were out walking and he decided to run through the briar bushes. But he's alright, it didn't hit his eye, thank goodness:
I don't have a new Great niece yet, but soon.
I'm sure there's other new things, have a meeting Monday, tomorrow groceries, Saturday our daughter's God son's 3rd birthday, Sunday going to see the kittens, Monday is the meeting, Tuesday is the Optimist Club I'm speaking at..and that's just the start to the week.
Have a wonderful week and weekend, and take care of yourselves!!
