Yesterday my husband and I returned from a Caribbean cruise with our two daughters and son-in-law. We had a wonderful time! Warm, sunny days and lots of water! Absolutely perfect.
The best part, of course, was being with family for a week.
The worst part was seeing photographs of myself in a swim suit. Oh My! When I started going through the pictures we took last night, I was dismayed. I mean, I KNEW I'd gained a bunch of weight - when I was trying to lose, not gain - but oh gosh, what a rude awakening to see those photos.
So, today we begin yet again. I am still working out for a minimum of 30 minutes every day - today is day 261! I even made sure I worked out every day on the cruise and didn't gain any weight, despite all the good food.
I will continue with the workouts, and next week I have an appointment to begin strength training on Wednesdays and Fridays. But the fact remains: I eat TOO MUCH. And I eat a lot of junk food.
So, here's to 2016 and a goal of 58 pounds lost. That won't make me skinny, but it will sure be a heck of a lot healthier than where I am currently at - and hopefully I won't be embarrassed when I see pictures of me in a swimsuit!
