This is the first week of meal planning. I made out a list of meals for this week. Found a free pdf online that includes a shopping list. I pretty much used spark recipes for this first week. Over time, I will probably add some 21 day Fix friendly recipes.
Yesterday's meal was a creamy Italian chicken one I found on sparks recipes. It tasted really good and it was easy. I would just add some more seasoning to it.
Saturday, I made tonight's meal and Friday's night's meal and put them in the freezer. That should help me out a lot this week.
I hope meal planning helps with grocery bills and that age old question - what is for dinner tonight. I even built in left over days.
I also made a weekly calendar for my workouts. I am looking forward to crossing off each workout. I was thinking that after each week, if all are crossed out, then I treat myself to something. Don't know if it would be something like a dessert or new clothes. (losing weight really affects my clothing selection)
Just trying to have accountability during the school semester. It is hard for me to stay motivated with a 40 hour work week plus teaching 2 history classes at the local university plus all the grading and prep it takes. I usually get frustrated with cooking and resort to the unhealthy options. Summer time, I have no problem because I just have the 40 hour/ week job to focus on.
