Week 1 - 2016 Winter Challenge

The first week of the 2016 Winter Challenge was all about easing back into my healthy habits: drinking more water, getting outside to pound the pavement, and being more disciplined in eating choices. Honestly, it was an "ok" effort. I know I can do better, and I'm ready to pick up the pace! Today, the hubbie's remaining birthday cake (from 1/6) went into the trash.

I know what I need to do in order to see signficant movement on the scale. I know that I need to eat clean for at least 3 days straight--that means absolutely nothing that will sabotage my efforts. Not one cookie, not one piece of bread, not one piece of chocolate. I've learned that even if I'm well within my calorie range and I eat something that is a "no-no" prolongs plateau. In other words, it sabotages all the good eating I've been doing...

Today, I started experimenting with juicing, motivated by the great results of my Sparkfriend TWILAQ1!! My goal is to get thru 3 days of juicing for breakfast and lunch with a normal meal for dinner. I tried it today and I really felt great! Let's see how tomorrow goes!

Just keep on going is my motto!! Sparkon!
