New series - useful resources for working out with disability or injuries, etc .. - Part 1

Sunday, January 10, 2016

I thought I'd create a series od entry to keep and share the links of some of the resources I've found online and that I find useful. Especially for those of us with a lot or weight to lose that may be limited a little in the movements we can do, or for those of us again that have injuries or other types of physical limitations to deal with but still want to start working out.

So the first link is from the Youtube channel Live exercise and is the first video of their series of 7 called Launchpad. These are chair workout, mostly based on strengthening the basic muscle group of your body and they are designed in a way that each video makes you progress in repetitions so that when you've progress to the 7 videos you would've completed a whole series of reps for each workout.

I used it and really liked it. The only down side for me is the sound and the noise some time that the mike does when the participant accidentally touches it. But really for a free workout like that it's nothing that I can't work it. Just mentioning it to give you as much information as possible.

1st link : Launchpad stage 1, pilot

2nd link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 1

3rd link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 2

4th link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 3

5th link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 4

6th link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 5

7th link : Launchpad stage1, episode 6

8th link : Launchpad stage 1, episode 7

So here are the links I hope you like it.
The series for Launchpad continued with stage 2 and 3 and then with exercises standing up and some flexibility workout as well and you can check it out on their channel. I didn't put all the links because I couldn't find all of them and also because I haven't tried the other ones so I can't say if I found them doable, secure and so on and give you my opinions about them because I haven't done any. But I can share anyway and let you guys make your own opinions :-)

So have a great day and don't forget that no matter what our condition is we can always find a little something to do to help get in a better position.
Changes take time and be gentle with yourself.
Have a great day

    You're welcome.
I have osteoarthritis in all my body actually, some place like my neck and spine and hips being more affected and I'm always looking for workouts that I can actually do without causing anymore pain or stress on my body and I thought some other people might benefit from my trials and try them for themselves. :-)
