My Stats for today:(according to SparkPeople)

Calorie Goal: 1200 TO 1550 (baseline)

Calories Eaten: 1732 (more than usual)

Calories Burned: 1453 ((more than usual)

Calories Remaining: 921 TO 1271 emoticon

According to Fitbit - Calories Remaining: 346 - (with my program set at the hardest level - 1000 calorie deficit per day) a little more reasonable but still emoticon

This is what I mean when I say I cannot trust these tech gadgets or equations to tell me what to eat. I just came back from a very intense exercise class (I look like I showered with my clothes on) and I plan to have an orange and go to sleep.

    I use them for my accountability and that's it. The thing of it is, the gadgets are not able to tell you how hard you worked out, even if you are drenched in sweat. You really end up losing more weight, because they are not able to factor that in. You did very well and I'm proud of you!

    I don't pay any attention to the calorie recommendations anymore.....it just didn't work for me.

    i try to balance what they say to how I feel. I can walk 15000 steps on my fitbit and have 400 to 500 calories for exercise and then if I go over on my calories; I get no credit. What. But I am really negative! So I take it all with a grain of salt. ( Oh wait that is what makes my weight fluctuate).

    Teehee!! These gadgets can be quite a pain! Not sure how to correct whatever is going on! Hope you get it ironed out soon. One con of the Food tracker is that it increases your calories in by how much your exercise and mine is always way more than I can even eat!

    I looked at your tracker for today. The crazy numbers are because you have your Fitbit synced to Sparkpeople, and your fitness tracker synced to your nutrition tracker.

    So Fitbit sends Sparkpeople the calories you burned from moving around in your daily life - including all the stuff that you don't even track as exercise. That's the "all-day activity". But SparkPeople already has its own calculation for that built in, so it thinks you did 1453 calories of actual exercise *on top of normal daily activity*. So SP subtracts that number from what you've eaten and tells you to eat at least 921 more just to get up to the magic 1200 number. Basically SP is doing the same subtraction twice.

    I have a Fitbit too, and I ended up unlinking it from SP entirely, and tracking my exercise on this site. It was driving me nuts.
